This year we opted out of the Days of 47' Parade AGAIN! I don't think we will ever find ourselves there because Brian thinks parades are lame, and I really don't enjoy baking in the sun for hours hearing Brian complain about how much wasted time and money it is to make these elaborate floats.
The cool thing about this 24th was that Uncle Brett, Brian's youngest brother, was scheduled to come home from his mission in Montreal Canada late on the 23rd. We had this huge WELOME HOME family BBQ planned for the 24th. Tons of activities, and water toys were set up for all of us to enjoy. But, his flight got cancelled to the next night due to weather issues. So, here we all were having this party in honor of the missionary who wasn't there.
This is the best part of the story. At about 7:00 pm we are all sitting down enjoying our nice BBQ'd hamburger and we get a phone call. Not kidding it is Brett saying, "HELLOOOOO....... I am at the airport. Come and get me". We all freaked out. We all evacuated the house in about 5 minutes to go greet the poor missionary at the airport. He had to borrow someones cell phone to call home. Is that the saddest, but funniest story ever? Brett was excited to see everyone and also meet his 4 new neices. EMMI being one of them. She wore a sign that said "HI I'M EMMI".

I'm laughing so hard at your comment about parades because Brandon feels exactly the same way Brian does and I feel exactly the same way you do.

P.S. My brother was supposed to pick me and my parents up after my mission but he never showed up. We had to get a ride from my friends that were at the airport. Sweet huh?
I bet you guys are loving having Brett home. What a crazy story. I'm sure he's loved getting to know all of the little kiddos!

Um, that is pretty much the funniest story I've ever heard. Poor little Brett. That's a classic.

Baby is good my fluid was low so I had to go back and get that checked but all is good now. I keep having contractions so I hope she is coming SOON! How was the shower? It would have been nice to see everybody!
