This Easter we went to my mom's house and dyed eggs. Ric gets these earthy colored eggs from Castle Valley. The colors end up being awesome. Emmi got her creative hat on and had fun. Of course she kept double dipping her eggs from one color to another, so some of the eggs looked like throw up. I think she may have cracked half of them getting them down into the mug. And a couple of them did roll off the floor onto Grammy's rug. Yes.....the number one reason why we LOVE going to Grammy's to dye eggs.

Easter morning we made an awesome pancake, eggs, canadian bacon breakfast. I am just admiring in the picture Emmi's food art. Whipped cream eyes and mouth, and strawberry ears. It's all about the cream for her. She would eat anything if there was cream on it. In fact she did ask for more cream so every bite of her pancake had some cream on it. My kind of girl!
Oh....the easter basket. I tell you Easter as a kid for me was by far the funnest holiday. I loved everything about it. The easter basket, the hunts, the new dress. It was just as magical as Christmas was. I tried hard this year to make it as special to my kids as it was for me. Emmi's favorite was the egg hunt. She gathered so much into her basket we about kicked ourselves for buying so much chocolate and candy. But here is what we have done. She gave us all her eggs and everyday since Easter we have hid one egg and she finds it and can eat whatever is in it. She looks forward to her egg everyday. A month later we are still doing it.
Here is Jack Bird just enjoying the excitement that he see with Emmi. He was just cool sitting there being a participant. He got a new little outfit, a xylophone, balls, and no candy. He did steal some jelly beans from Emmi which became an absolute mess. The colored drool, the sticky hands from taking the candy in and out of his mouth.
The two munchkins hanging out admiring the loot. Emmi got some twist colored pencils and her "own " day planner notebook. (So, she doesn't have to get mine and draw all over it) She got a mini tea set, a hoppy taw from her dad, dress up shoes that are no where near to fitting her feet, and a cute easter dress.
