Dinner Out....Gone Bad

We rarely dare anymore to go out to dinner with Emmi these days. First of all you never know if it will be the time she eats well, or when she takes a bite and says, "all done" and fights you until you let her down and then she roams the restaurant and begs for everyones attention around her.

So tonight was the night we dared to go out. Now, we didn't set our expectations too high. We went fast food thinking how can you go wrong? We walked into "Eat a Burger" with high hopes it would be an enjoyable meal. Boy were we mistaken.

First of all, we ordered her a kids meal....why do we ever do that? She never eats it. Second, all she would do is dip her fry in the sauce and then lick the sauce. There's a point when you call that quits. When you look over and she is still working on the same fry and the sauce is gone. We told her to bite the dang fry. So she does. Somehow she doesn't chew it and tries to swallow it whole. She starts choking. Finally she got the fry back up with several blows to the back. Nevermind the sound effects here people. Then she starts coughing with her smokers cough that she can't kick. All of sudden everything comes back up. I mean fountain of throw-up. All over our food, down her, and all over the seat. We just sit there looking at each other. Emmi says, "I throw up" No???????? really??????

The sweet girls helped us clean everything up. Appetites are now gone and we kinda just slither ourselves out of the place with Emmi's clothes in a garbage sack and a naked girl. Fun Saturday night out eh???

I seriously haven't been able to stop laughing about your dinner disaster and I've read it three times. You painted a really good picture. Emmi is so dang cute. What are the chances she would choke on the one bite she takes. Hilarious

Funny story now, but I'm sure it was not so funny at the moment. I hope that everything is going o.k. with your pregnancy. I miss seeing you at work. I feel like I haven't seen you in forever. Send me your e-mail address, please, so that I can invite you to our blog.

Eating out is always an adventure! It sounds like Emmi, throwing up, and eating out go hand in hand. Remember when we went out to eat last summer. I think Emmi got sick on the way to dinner. What a silly little girl!

The dreaded eating out! That sounds pretty miserable. Last time we went out Brady decided to poop his pants, and of course we had no spare pants. Don't you love the looks you get taking a naked kid out in this kind of weather:)
You guys really know how to party! I am glad that she got the fry up! Minus the other stuff!

Lucy's Birth

Today I am going to sit down and take the time to journal Lucy's birth story.  My feelings are still so fresh and I want to remember my experience forever.  When I found out I was pregnant with Lucy I had feelings of apprehension and fear.  I wasn't ready for another baby nor was Brian to say the least.  I actually kept the news to myself for weeks, till I could no longer keep it to myself.  I knew that I had to keep working to keep the family afloat and if there were any complications we could not survive without my income.  Lots of prayers were said to keep this baby inside me so I could take care of our family and house.  To say the least my prayers were answered and this was the most smooth sailing pregnancies yet.  I was able to work part-time and at the end go full-time, and actually Brian and I were able to travel to Europe for 2 weeks when I was 24 weeks pregnant. Sweet! Since the day I told Brian I w...

I have "KIDS"

So, I find myself tripping out at the thought that I now have 2 kids. I was completely freaking out before baby Jack arrived due to the fact that I feel like Emmi is a handful and I can't imagine doubling that work. To get myself to calm down I would just tell myself, "everyone does it, right?" Well, to say the least it hasn't been a breeze so far. I am handling the baby fine. Yeah, some sleep deprivation, but Emmi has been a complete "2 year old" nightmare. I believe she is loving her baby brother, although she thinks that smothering, hitting, poking, jumping near his head, yelling in his ear, and collapsing to the floor everytime she doesn't get her way at that moment seems to be a good way to get attention. YIKES!!! My patience is wearing thin. I would LOVE any advice on handling two kids and most importantly handling a 2 year old with a new sibling. This is innocent Emmi loving her brother at the moment

Reality Check

Holy Cow.......Brian and were just relaxing on the couch enjoying some Christmas music, our Christmas tree and lighted mantle with the stockings hanging.  We had a reality check when we saw 5 stockings hanging.  We are almost a family of 5.  Wow.......pinch me!  We are getting so excited to welcome our newest 5th member of the family. It's amazing what two people can accomplish in 10 years.
