My little Easter Bunny!!!

Here is my little Easter Bunny. What a fun Easter weekend. Saturday we hit two egg hunts. Emmi was pretty reluctant to fight for her eggs. She would just stand and watch the other kids take them right from beneath her. I couldn't allow her to come home with nothing in her basket, so I would shove her in front of the eggs so no other kids could get to them. She came home with a smile and some eggs.

On the other hand Brian took her out to find eggs at our neighborhood hunt. She came back from the pouring rain with one....yes....uno egg. He didn't help her or fight for her to come back with anything. Then, she opened the one egg to find a piece of hard bubble gum. She looked at me like..."where is the chocolate mom?" Yeah....daddy didn't care if she had nothing in her basket. His words, "she's two she doesn't care".

That evening we went up to Grammy Jill's and dyed easter eggs. This year was probably the best eggs we ever dyed. Grandpa Ric got some organic colored eggs from Castle Valley and brought them home to dye. The colors came out so vibrant and earthy. So fun. Emmi had a blast spooning the dye over the eggs.

Sunday morning Emmi woke up to a surprise. The Easter Bunny came and left her a basket full of goodies. She got a new dress and little tea set. She played "tea party" all morning until we went to church.

In the evening we went back to Grammy Jill's for dinner and another hunt. I tell you what....she was all over this hunt. She didn't have to compete at all with other kids. They were all hers. She scurried around the yard like a little scavenger. Uncle Jonny played tricks on her and would rehide the eggs. She kept getting so excited that more eggs kept reappearing. What a kid!!! After all the eggs were found. She opened them one by one emptied the candy out and moved on to the next egg. In some eggs there were little toys, and even big girl panties. All she really cared about was opening the egg.

Thanks to all the family for making Easter so special for Emmi. She had so much fun. Next year it will be fun to see Emmi grasp just a tiny concept of the true meaning of Easter. We are so blessed because of our Savior and His plan.

Happy Spring!!!

What a cute little Easter bunny! I love that she would watch the kids take the eggs and didn't care. she is the most adorable little thing I have ever seen. I love her cute little basket (yet again another thing that makes me want a girl). You are a very cute little mama.

It sounds like a wonderful Easter. I am surprised I saw you only have 34 days to go-it feels like you just blogged about being pregnant. That is so exciting. You look like such a darling, creative mom. I love seeing the pictures of you home in the background, it looks beautiful, I love the bathroom countertops.

And lastly, where did you get your little girls dress? It has to be the cutest Easter dress I've seen.
